Parents Circle Dialogue Meeting Program

Sunday, December 11, 2022 17 Kislev 5783

12:00 PM - 1:30 PM1710 S. Highland Ave. Lombard, IL 60148

The bloody conflict between the Israeli and Palestinian societies has taken a heavy toll from each and every one of the PCFF members.
It is through this pain that all of the PCFF members have chosen to exchange their feelings of rage and revenge, helplessness, despair and the void, with activities of hope for reconciliation.

Ikhlas Ishtaya lives in the village of Salem, in the West Bank. She & her sister were both born blind. In 2004, her father, on his way home from work, was shot and killed by an Israeli settler. After some time, she chose to join the Parents Circle, and is an active member of the Women's Group.

Miri Ben-Rafael lost her only brother, Ammon, when he was killed at the age of 26 in the Golan Height in the 1973 war. Ammon was married, an economics student in the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and believed Israelis should find ways for peace and coexistence with the Palestinians. Miri is a clinical psychologist, has three lovely daughters and nine grandchildren. In 2014, she joined the Parents Circle in the search for reconciliation and peace in our region. She is an active member of the Women's Group and a lecturer and facilitator on behalf of the organization.
