World Peace Day Event in Naperville

We are cosponsoring this celebration of diversity in service of creating a more peaceful world! Join us to hear from speakers and performances from a variety of different local faith groups:

Dr. Geneace Williams, the director of the Naperville's Office of Diversity Equity and Inclusion, will lead us off. She will be followed by a presentation by United for Peace member Ms. Rachel Pandya. The President of the DuPage NAACP, Mr. Michael L. Childress (First African-American elected to the DuPage County Board) will also speak as well as DuPage United member, Ms. Rita Kramen and the Executive Director of Muhsen, Ms. Joohi Tahir. The service will also feature a Hindu dancing group from Sri Venkateswara Swami (Balaji) Temple; an instrumental music group from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; and a Buddhist youth singing group from the Buddha's Light International Association. We share a Judaism info table with Beth Shalom. They are also accepting donations of store-bought goods for the reception after the event.
