In our sanctuary, the seats are arranged so we can see the front of the sanctuary as well as each other. Our choir sits close to the congregation and sings melodies that invite participation by the entire congregation. We experience our worship services not as isolated individuals, but as part of a community.</span>

Religious services at Congregation Etz Chaim are typically held on Friday evenings at 7:30 PM. Each week, our musical offering reflects a different aspect of our community: One week may feature the junior choir and our congregational song leader. Another week may be a Rambler Shabbat Services composed of a band of musician-congregants. The congregation is encouraged to sing, dance, and worship in a lively and spiritual way. We also have special, themed services such as “Baseball” Shabbat, Veterans Shabbat, Senior Youth Group Shabbat, Junior Youth Group Shabbat, Social Action Shabbat, and more.

For our families with small children, we have “Tot Shabbat Services.” Once a month at 6:00 PM, infants, toddlers, preschoolers through age 6, and their parents learn Shabbat rituals and communal prayer with songs and stories that are easily understood and enjoyed.
