Shavuot Dinner in the Lot

Enjoy a delicious dairy dinner and celebrate Shavuot! One of Judaism’s oldest holidays, Shavuot celebrates the revelation of the Torah, coincides with the beginning of summer, and traditionally includes eating a lot of dairy. Our celebration will have something for everyone: Gayle V’s gourmet catering (including the greatest grilled cheese ever), a KIDdish Club Service, a Shavuot-themed learning opportunity, and then we will conclude with a Shavuot Service after dinner.
Dinner in the Lot & Concert with Ari Hest

It’s hard to say what’s the bigger treat: a taco dinner from Taco Shop (back by popular demand!) or a concert from Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter, Ari Hest! A prolific recording artist and songwriter, Ari has been writing, recording, and performing music for 20 years, and we could not be more excited to host this performance. Even better: concert tickets are free for CEC members!
Shabbatapalooza
Friday, August 23
Welcome Shabbat with friends and fun at our annual festival! Bounce houses, bubble-making, wine and scotch tasting – there’s a reason why our summer “-palooza” events are highlights of CEC’s calendar. We’ll add a little ritual flavor to the experience in a KIDdish Club service before and a Shabbat service after the main festivities. If there is a more exciting way to open Shabbat, we’ve certainly never heard of it!
